Halloween Costume #1
A Duck
The hat and feet were made by Grandma Jean and the body I made out of a bath towel. Lainy will be wearing this costume on the 17th to the Zoo in Peoria where they do Trick or Treating, games, and contests I can't wait. Then for Halloween night we will go down to Mahomet to my sister Jen's, where Lainy will wear costume #2 a black cat. More pictures of the festivities to follow.

Our Vacation To California
Well as promised here are the pictures from our vacation to California, and a brief account of what we did when we were there.
O.K. so first we went up to chicago the night before (Sept 22), because our flight left at 8:30 a.m. and we did not want to have to deal with traffic or missing our flight. The next morning we took a flight to San Jose, Ca. where we had to switch planes with a 40min layover (which actually turned into an hour because our plane was delayed) then our next stop was Ontario California which is only about 30min from my sister-in-law Angie's House which is where were staying for the week. When we got off the Plane the view of the mountains was amazing they were so huge, oh and it was so hot I could hardly breath , of course I was wearing long pants and a hoodie (but it was a dry heat ha ha). When we got to Angie and Nate's house we just unpacked and relaxed Finally! The next day we did a little shopping at the local stores, then came back home and had a lovely dinner made by Angie. Friday we spent the day hanging out and doing some more shopping. Saturday we had plans to go to LA and see the walk of stars and then stop at a beach on the way home. The walk of stars was in Hollywood which was about an hour and a half from where we were staying, so when we got there I was a little shocked by the lack of stuff there was to do we walked up and down the sidewalks, looked at some of the names in the stars, had lunch, went in a couple of souvenier shops and then left. As we headed to the beach we drove down rodeo drive with all the expensive stores were Julia Roberts shopped in "Pretty Women" (my favorite movie). The beach we decided on was Venice Beach, when we got there it was a completely different climate than at Angie and Nate's house where the temperature was over 100 during the day, at the beach it was cloudy, breezy and only about 70 degrees but I did not go all the way to California to not get in the ocean, so I did, and the waves were huge and the water was freezing but it was worth it. After were were all freezing wet and sandy we went back to our cars and got cleaned up then went back down to were all the little shops were and walked around and bought some souvenirs, then we called it a day. It took for ever to get back home because the traffic getting out of LA is terrible but we eventualy made it back and we had another full day ahead of us. On Sunday we decided to go to one of the vineyard and winery's about an hour and a half from their house. When we got there we took a tour of the winery and then we did some tasting of the wines and bought a few bottles of course. Monday was our last day we all hung out and played some games and watched some movies, our plane left California on Tue (Sept 29) at 3:30pm and did not get into Chigago until 10:30pm, and then we still had to drive back to Peoria so needles to say it was a long day but we made it home safe and sound. It was a great vacation I loved the Vineyards and the Beaches I would defiantly go again some time and thanks to my sweet sister-in-law for having us invade her home for a week.
